On the occasion of publishing his fourth monograph, Hollywood Royale: Out of the School of Los Angeles, and establishing a corresponding global exhibition, Rolston has made this limited edition print available to ArtCenter patrons.
A retrospective of Rolston's groundbreaking editorial portraiture from the 1980s, Hollywood Royale paints a fascinating picture of an indelible image-maker and the entertainers, models and artists he immortalized during this period. Rolston’s ‘80s photographs recall the glamour of Old Hollywood with postmodern irony, helping to point the way towards the cult of fame with which we live today.
Prints are available at the special price of $2,500. Proceeds from each sale will benefit ArtCenter College of Design Film and Photography Department Scholarships.

Ever since Andy Warhol hired then-ArtCenter student Matthew Rolston to shoot a portrait of Steven Spielberg for Interview magazine, he's continued to redefine the modern meaning of glamour.
ArtCenter gratefully acknowledges Matthew Rolston for his leadership in supporting our community of creators as a member of FullCircle.
