Graduation and Grad Show
At ArtCenter, we celebrate our graduating students in grand fashion with all the pomp and circumstance their achievement deserves.
We hold commencement events twice a year, at the end of our Spring and Fall terms. Our Graduation ceremony and accompanying Grad Show exhibition, held at the Pasadena Convention Center, form the two anchors of our culmination programming, each recognizing our graduating students’ achievements with the polish and professionalism that is distinctly ArtCenter.
Grad Show takes place in both digital and physical spaces designed specifically for each new class of graduates. Students are assigned gallery space to place the best pieces in their portfolios on display for visiting recruiters, family, friends and even the general public, since the exhibition takes place off-campus in the heart of Old Town Pasadena.

Saturday, December 19
10 a.m.–noon
Commencement Ceremony
The College celebrates our graduates with a ticketed ceremony at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium featuring live music, inspiring speakers, and the official conferring of degrees. You’ll hear from the Student Leadership Award winner, the class Valedictorian, and a keynote speaker, such as a renowned artist, faculty member or distinguished alum.

Saturday, December 19
Noon–5 p.m.
Grad Show
Open to the public on Saturday afternoon following the ceremony, Grad Show offers a gallery-style viewing of student work. It’s a relaxed opportunity for guests to explore the creativity of our newest grads.

Student Showcases and Industry Networking
Creative Careers and Global Programs hosts a dynamic lineup of events designed to connect graduating students with top employers scouting for emerging talent.
On the Thursday before graduation, recruiters from industry-leading brands—ranging from Netflix to Google to SpaceX—attend a dedicated hiring event. Students present their work and engage in one-on-one conversations that can lead to valuable professional connections—and even job offers.

Entertainment Design Animation Showcase
Join us in the Ahmanson Auditorium at the College's Hillside Campus for the Fall 2026 Animation Showcase. Experience a curated selection of animated short films and projects that highlight the creativity, technical skill and storytelling talent of our graduating class. All are welcome—celebrate the next generation of animators!
