Policies and Disclosures

Student Location Policy for Distance Education

Due to federal and individual state regulations, ArtCenter College of Design is currently limited in providing online courses and programs to students in certain states. Acceptance into an online program or enrollment in an online course can be based on where the student is physically located while taking the online course(s).

State Authorization guidelines effective Fall 2022

Federal and State higher education regulations require that all institutions offering federal financial aid to its students obtain the necessary authorizations and/or approvals from a state in order to conduct educational activities within the state. Holding such state authorization allows ArtCenter and other institutions to conduct these educational activities outside of our home state. ArtCenter is physically located in the state of California.

If you reside outside of California, before registering for ACX, ACX Teens or ACX Kids courses, please click on the link below to search the states from which ArtCenter may currently enroll students into online and/or Zoom courses. Please contact the ArtCenter Extension at acx@artcenter.edu if you have any questions.
