Important dates, payment and scholarships

How do I pay?

Our online payment system accepts credit cards, debit cards or e-Check (ACH) from U.S. bank accounts. Note that our payment processing provider, TouchNet PayPath, charges a 3% non-refundable Service Fee, with the minimum fee being $3.00, for processing credit and debit card transactions. Payments by phone or in person are no longer accepted.

Do you have scholarships? How do I apply?

Yes! A limited number of scholarships are available for eligible students. More information coming soon.

About Classes

Can I enroll in more than one class?

Yes! Our new enrollment system will help ensure that you do not enroll in overlapping classes. If you enroll in more than one class, a 10% discount will automatically be applied to your total at checkout.

There's a waitlist for my first choice class, how will I be informed of my space in the class?

Add your name to the waitlist, and if a space becomes available, you will be automatically notified by email. You will have 24 hours to decide if you want to enroll. If you do not enroll, the space will be offered to the next person on the waitlist and your name will be added back to the bottom of the waitlist.

What should I expect on the first day of class? How do I check in?

On the first Monday of class from 8-9:30 am, Extended Studies staff will be available in person to support students and faculty. Look for our table in the lobby of the building where your class is to be held. If you are unsure where to go, the guards at the table or desk near the building entrance can help direct you. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of class to make sure you are in your classroom and ready to start creating by 9 am.

What materials and supplies do I need to bring?

Required materials will be provided as part of the program.

Will I receive college-credit for these classes?

These classes are non-credit. We are evaluating future offerings and may offer credit-bearing classes in the future.

How can I learn more about ArtCenter degree programs?

We’re glad you asked! Please visit our admissions page.

Transportation and Facilities

Is public transportation available?

The L.A. Metro Fillmore Station is located one block north of South Campus, connecting students to the Metro rail and bus system serving all of Los Angeles County.

Pasadena has its own easy and affordable bus system, Pasadena Transit. Route 51/52 provides weekday service throughout Old Pasadena, with stops at both campuses.

Where can I park?

South Campus Parking: Please allow yourself enough time to park at 950 S. Raymond Avenue and walk to the building where your class will be held. There is also overflow parking available behind the Tesla charging lot on the corner of Arroyo and Glenarm.

I need to be dropped off or picked up a little early. Is that okay?

Extended Studies staff will be available from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Please plan to arrive and leave during that time frame and stay inside the building until you are ready to leave. Students who are waiting after drop off and before pick up will not be directly supervised, so students should be mature enough to be self-directed during this time. Consider bringing something to do quietly while you wait.

What health and safety rules are in place?

At ArtCenter, campus safety is a top priority. We are dedicated to fostering a secure environment through proactive crime prevention, clear and accessible reporting, and timely alerts. On-campus security personnel is available at the main entrance of all campus buildings.

If you are experiencing COVID-19, cold, or flu-like symptoms, please consider the safety of our staff and classmates and do not attend classes at that time.

Which ArtCenter Campus is hosting my class?

ArtCenter has two main campuses in Pasadena: South Campus and Hillside Campus. The summer classes will be held at the South Campus in the 1111 Building, located at 1111 S. Arroyo Parkway.

Is there an ArtCenter Student Store?

Supplies for your summer class are included in tuition. However, if you wish to purchase additional supplies or ArtCenter-branded products, ArtCenter’s Student Store has locations at both the South Campus and Hillside.

South Campus store:

Monday through Thursday: 9am - 4:30pm
Friday: 10am - 3pm

Hillside store:

Monday through Thursday: 10am - 6pm
Friday: 10am - 3pm
Saturday: 10am - 2pm

Can you tell me more about lunch and snacks?

Yes! We know that summer mornings are busy, so we will provide lunch for you. There will be a vegetarian option and an option that includes meat. To limit wasted food, we cannot guarantee that you will get your first choice every day, and unfortunately, we are not able to provide for personal food preferences and dietary requirements.

Of course, you are welcome to bring snacks and meals that meet your needs but keep in mind that refrigeration is not available. In addition, most buildings have vending machines.
