Artists and illustrators have traditionally counted on the “gatekeepers” of their industries to commission, curate and market their work to the public. While curators, gallery owners and art directors remain important purveyors of visual culture, today’s artists have found increasing success in connecting directly with patrons. Join us virtually as Illustration alumni Aron Wiesenfeld (BFA 00), Jackie Kon (BFA 14) and Illustration Department Associate Chair, Aaron Smith (BFA 88) share their insights on producing and marketing their work to collectors and fans using a combination of technology, newly affordable tools and social media.
