ArtCenter will be present at multiple events throughout the world-renowned celebration of automotive excellence, marking the College’s 23rd consecutive year of participation.
Members of the ArtCenter community, including alumni, faculty and current Transportation Design students, will be part of The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, Exotics on Broadway, and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance at Monterey Car Week.
Friday, August 15
ArtCenter will showcase Oilstainlab’s HF-11 supercar, the brainchild of twin brothers, Iliya Bridan (BS 11) and Nikita Bridan (BS 11), who are also ArtCenter alumni and faculty of the Transportation Department.
HF-11 is a striking evolution of Oilstainlab’s original, handmade Half-11, a 1960s tribute. Offering a unique blend of nostalgia, performance, and advanced technology, with a healthy dose of mischief, the vehicle demands attention with an exposed powertrain, dynamic proportions, and a minimalist streamlined body.
The HF-11’s livery for The Quail appearance was designed in collaboration with ArtCenter students.
The ArtCenter College of Design - Design Excellence Award will be judges by ArtCenter students and presented by ArtCenter alumnus (Transportation 1990) and Board of Trustees Chairman, Michael Warsaw.
Saturday, August 16
The College will also host a tent at Exotics on Broadway on where many vehicles with alumni connections are expected to be on display.

Since 2002, this honor has recognized vehicles that exemplify groundbreaking technology and timeless design. Past recipients include iconic models such as the 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Speciale and the 1956 Maserati A6G Zagato Berlinetta. This year’s honorees promise to be just as stunning.
This year’s award trophy was modelled on the 1948 LeMans Coupe, designed by Strother MacMinn, the founder of ArtCenter’s Transportation Design program.
