This Monday is animated movie night, celebrating stop-motion pioneer Lotte Reiniger.

In 1926, long before Disney, she created the landmark Adventures of Prince Achmed, the world’s oldest surviving animated feature and just one of her more than 60 extraordinary, magical films.

Come join Whitney Grace, author of the groundbreaking new Reiniger biography, for her exclusive public West Coast appearance. She’ll be discussing Reiniger's career and vast influence and showing a generous sampling of her cartoons that have rarely, if ever, been seen in the U.S. It’s sure to be an informative and entertaining evening.

This event is free and open to the public.

Presented by Michael Dooley’s “Design History of Comics & Animation” class, with support from Women in Animation.
