KPop Demon Hunters is the most-watched Netflix original title with over 500 million views, and its theatrical release is also the first Netflix film to top the box office in the United States. The soundtrack was the first to have four songs in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously, it won Best Original Song for “Golden” at the Golden Globes.

The film is co-directed by ArtCenter alumnus, Chris Appelhans (BFA 02). Other ArtCenter involvement includes Simon Baek (BFA 18) and Angela Sung in visual development and faculty Gary H. Lee (BFA 01) as cinematographer.
