Please join your fellow alumni for an opening exhibition reception in conjunction with the Illustration department + Hoffmitz Milken Center for Typography (HMCT). Connect with faculty Robert Clayton (BFA 88) and Aaron Smith (BFA 88).

The reception will be held in the heart of Berlin’s gallery district. The group exhibition, ECHOES: EYE ON BERLIN will feature stunning prints and ephemera produced by 12 ArtCenter students during the Summer 2023 term in Pasadena.

2023’s New Eye on Berlin Study Away project is inspired by the echoes of Berlin’s tumultuous past, still resonating throughout the city.

Working out of ArtCenter’s Archetype Press, Illustration students have produced a series of themed letterpress prints that comprise a 12-print folio. Special acknowledgement goes to faculty/alumni Seth Drenner (BFA 04) for guiding the students through the age-old printmaking process. Along with the featured edition, the exhibition will include the show and sale of unique collectibles, zines, wearables and products offered by the participating artists.

This event promises to be a lively and inspiring evening. The event is open to all. We hope to see you there!
