COVID-19: Update 15

Please note that there are a total of 157 positive COVID-19 cases and two deaths in California.

Yesterday’s COVID-19 update (#14) mistakenly said that California now has 53 confirmed cases of COVID-19. It was a typo and the correct number should have been 153—a number that has increased slightly.

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has also provided a map of community acquired transmission by county within the state (also known as “community spread).

We would also like to clarify that our concern for international and domestic travel is two-fold:

  1. Traveling from or through regions with sustained, ongoing transmission
  2. Traveling from or through major airports where there is a reasonable risk of transmission

The College is not implementing self-quarantine restrictions on local, personal travel or traveling to locations via ground transportation.

All Coronavirus/COVID-19 updates, previously sent to official ArtCenter email accounts and posted to Inside ArtCenter, are now available on the main ArtCenter website to better inform family members and the general public of our response to the situation. Please continue to monitor your ArtCenter email and our online resources for updated information.

Please don’t hesitate to contact the office of Environmental Health and Safety at ehs@artcenter.edu with any specific questions or concerns.
