ArtCenter’s Hillside and South Campuses can be accessed from the 210, 134 and 110 freeways. Call 626 396-2246 for recorded directions.

 

Tours

Free tours of ArtCenter are conducted Monday through Friday at 1 p.m. at the Hillside Campus, and on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 3 p.m. at our South Campus. Please call 626 396-2373 to schedule a tour.

 

Public Transportation

Metro Gold Line

The Metro Gold Line links downtown Los Angeles to the Pasadena area, providing students with easy access to ArtCenter’s South Campus. The train stops at the Fillmore station, just one block from South Campus. For schedules and a trip planner, visit mta.net or call 1 800-COMMUTE.

Pasadena Transit

Pasadena Transit connects ArtCenter’s Hillside and South Campuses with weekday shuttle service. The “Route 51/52” Pasadena Transit bus currently runs Monday through Friday. Call 626 744-4055 for hours and route information.

ArtCenter Shuttles

ArtCenter Shuttle travels between the two campuses. The shuttle also stops in Old Pasadena and the METRO Del Mar Station along the way. You must show a student ID to board. For more information, see the shuttle schedule and shuttle route (PDF).

 

Parking

Parking at both ArtCenter campuses is free.

South Campus students:

  • 950 S. Raymond Avenue: Parking lots are available on the north and south sides of the building.
  • 870 S. Raymond Avenue: Parking lot is located on the south side of the building
  • 1111 S. Arroyo Parkway: Spaces are available in the underground parking lot on the P1 level ONLY. Entrance to the lot is on Glenarm Street.

During the first two weeks of classes, students should pick up a parking hang tag from ArtCenter Security at the information desk at the first floor of South Campus which is staffed 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.  Bring your current course schedule, vehicle registration and license plate number.

Hillside Campus students:

  • 1700 Lida Street: parking lot is located at the top of MacMinn Drive. Drop-offs on MacMinn Drive are strictly prohibited. Drop-offs and pick-ups are only allowed in the student parking lot.

During the first two weeks of classes, students should pick up a parking hangtag at the Hillside reception desk (near the Student Gallery) which is staffed from 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.  Bring your current course schedule, vehicle registration and license plate number.


Students enrolled in short workshops (1-3 sessions):

Print out a copy of your course schedule and place it on the dashboard of your vehicle.

Parking tickets

Parking tickets should be paid in person at the cashier’s window in the Accounting office, located on the 4th level of the 1111 building.

Weds.: 9 am–1:15 pm 

After you pay your parking fines, you will need to stop by or contact the ArtCenter Extension office to have the parking restriction removed from your school records.

ArtCenter Extension

Hours: Monday through Thursday, 10 am–9 pm; 
Friday, 9am–5 pm 

You have until the end of the term to pay parking fines, however, you will not be able to register for the subsequent term or received your grades until you have cleared up any restrictions.
