Joe Tseng is a multidisciplinary entrepreneur whose interests span design, entertainment, real estate development, and cultural leadership. Born in Taichung, Taiwan, Joe immigrated to the United States at age 13. His family purchased a small motel in Santa Barbara, where Joe and his older sister took on daily operations—an early hands-on experience that shaped his life and approach to business.
Joe earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from ArtCenter College of Design, where he met his wife, Rebecca Lin. He began his professional career in the entertainment industry as a Technical Director, working with Disney, Warner Brothers, and Paramount Studios. His film credits include Flubber, Deep Rising, South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, Rugrats in Paris, The Wild Thornberrys, and Looney Tunes: Back in Action.
Joe then left the field to pursue his own vision, founding Platinum Capital PM Inc. His firm focuses on revitalizing underutilized commercial and residential properties. One of his signature projects involved converting a former movie theater into a 45,000 sq. ft. Department of Social Services building, now serving over one million Californians. Several other projects have involved transforming properties into assisted living communities and housing for nurses and elderly residents.
He is an equity partner with the Barstow Investment Group (BIG), which is working on a rezoning and entitlement project for 800 acres of land—an initiative that will shape future infrastructure and economic growth in the region.
Beyond business, Joe is a passionate advocate for car culture and design education. He serves as Chair of the Affinity Classic Car Group at The California Club and as a board member of Best of France and Italy, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving automotive history. He is a member of CF200, the private collector group affiliated with the Petersen Automotive Museum. He is also affiliated with the Ferrari Club of America and the Maserati Club of America.
Joe and Rebecca have been married for 29 years and are proud parents to Tyler and Chloe, both attending the University of British Columbia. The family has called San Marino home for nearly three decades.
