Steve is an adjunct professor helping students learn and practice the fundamentals of business operations, organizations and financial results; basic marketing principles; and how the global economic system works - and its challenges. He is a long-time business manager and strategist, working with and consulting to Fortune 500 as well as smaller companies and organizations worldwide.
Steve currently advises media companies with a boutique consulting firm based in Los Angeles. Among previous adventures, he was an associate principal at consultancy McKinsey & Company, the first executive vice president of programming at XM Satellite Radio, legislative director for a US Congressperson with responsibility for participation in the Joint Economic Committee with the US Senate, and deputy manager of the US resettlement operation for Indochinese refugees in Thailand. He holds a BA in economics from UT Austin and an MBA from Cornell.
Steve is also a practicing artist with an MFA from ArtCenter.
