Biography

Douglas R. Rogers is an artist, production designer and concept designer whose career spans animation, film, theater, television and themed entertainment. A graduate of Baylor University and the Yale University School of Drama, Rogers began in graphic and theatrical design before moving into animation, where he served as art director of DreamWorks' Academy Award-winning Shrek and later became production designer of Disney's Tangled. His work with Walt Disney Imagineering includes the Enchanted Storybook Castle at Shanghai Disneyland and the Castle of Magical Dreams at Hong Kong Disneyland. His theatrical credits include Broadway's Tony Award-winning revival of Into the Woods, while his live-entertainment work includes productions for Luciano Pavarotti, Radio City Music Hall, and other international venues. Rogers' work has been exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of New York, The Library of Congress and the Academy of Motion Pictures Art and Sciences.
