Biography

I have been a working artist since the early 1980s. My first national publication was in the American Infrared Survey, followed by a touring international exhibition in 82. I received my first grant in the Humanities in 86, followed the next year by an individual artist fellowship. I have received grants, published images and writings, and exhibited my work internationally ever since.

From 2004 to 2006 I was a stringer for the Associated Press. From 2004-14, I regularly assisted photographers Annie Leibovitz and Steven Klein, capturing images and on-set retouching for Vogue and Vanity Fair. I was the lighting designer for Guess Watches 25th Anniversary Campaign and did the retouching for Forum Snowboards’ 2009 campaign and Daisy Fuentes 2014 fashion line.

In 2017, I received the California Community Foundation Fellowship, and was included in a major survey show at the Riverside Museum of Art in 2019. In 2021 I’ll have a solo exhibition at the Lancaster Museum of Art and History.
