Biography

A son of Lithuanian refugees, Jonas Kulikauskas is a Los Angeles based interdisciplinary artist inspired by his heritage, fatherhood, and faith. His works have been exhibited by the M.K. ?iurlionis National Museum of Art, Lithuania, California Museum, and Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles. His project, Yosemite People, culminated in an award-winning book, a national tour, and has been accessioned into the permanent collection of the National Museum of American History, Smithsonian. His photographs have been featured in the NY Times, CNN, and Photo District News. Kulikauskas is a Fulbright award recipient and has lectured at Otis Art Institute, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and ArtCenter College of Design where he has been a part-time faculty member since 2002.
