ArtCenter Alumni: Making Their Mark
From ArtCenter Sketches to Aston Martin
Alumnus Jackie Han (BS 21 Transportation Design) designed the Aston Martin Valiant and Valour. His Aston Martin capstone project, completed while an ArtCenter student, helped pave the way to a job at the iconic, luxury sports automaker.
ArtCenter and Monterey Car Week
Members of the ArtCenter community, including alumni, faculty and current Transportation Design students, will be part of The Quail by The Peninsula, A Motorsports Gathering, Exotics on Broadway and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, where the ArtCenter Design Excellence Awards will be presented.
This year, Transportation Design alumna Delaney Barr (BS 25 Transportation Design) was selected to create the official 2026 event poster for The Quail by The Peninsula, A Motorsports Gathering, where it will be officially unveiled at the event and on display in the College’s exhibition.
About the Design Excellence Awards
Presented at The Quail by The Peninsula, A Motorsports Gathering and Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance since 2002, this honor has recognized vehicles that exemplify groundbreaking technology and timeless design.
The trophy was designed by student Marco Lusso as a modern sculptural interpretation of the classic 1958 Le Mans Coupe created by legendary transportation designer and former ArtCenter faculty Strother MacMinn.
