Student Leadership Award winner Keerthana Menon inspires positivity for other graduate students  

Recognized by ArtCenter community members as an approachable and enthusiastic leader, Spring 2023 Student Leadership Award winner Keerthana Menon (MS 23 Spatial Experience Design) celebrated the successes of those around her, and created an inclusive and collaborative environment for other graduate students, from all degree programs.  

“What makes ArtCenter special is the uniqueness of each member of this community,” she says.  

As the ArtCenter Student Government graduate student representative, an Orientation Leader, a Graduate Spatial Experience Design department scholarship recipient, and a team member of the India-based nonprofit Raahat Foundation, Menon encouraged networking, communication and working together.  

Menon helped host a graduate student mixer for more than 70 new students that sparked conversation and inspired positivity. Menon also provided guidance to prospective students and built an on-campus family within her own department.  

“We support each other through thick and thin,” says Menon. “There’s strength that comes from having ArtCenter as our home.”
