ArtCenter’s Product Design graduates join the department’s illustrious community of alumni whose human-centered designs are redefining the way we live.

Good design combines functionality, relevance and commercial viability with visual and emotional appeal in a marketplace that demands products that minimize environmental impact, from production to disposal. As corporations and organizations increasingly recognize the importance of smart design to achieve success, our graduates are ready to meet these needs on both local and global scales. Students graduate with a foundation in the design sciences, engineering principles and manufacturing processes—all necessary tools to become creative leaders.

Our program’s ongoing relationships with many of today’s top brands and research institutions exposure offers students unique access to the design process within many of today's top brands. Students also benefit from participation in DesignStorms® and other Sponsored Project courses commissioned by corporate partners seeking to explore new frontiers in design and innovation.

From my very first visit to ArtCenter, I’ve felt that the implicit challenge to do better and to rise above is what sets this school apart. When I became a student, I discovered the best part, which is that my fellow students had the same expectations of themselves and of me.
