ArtCenter presents CoNEJO NEGRO: Tortilleria and Print Shop by artist collective, Torolab. The unique exhibition examines the dynamics of life across the political and physical boundaries of the US/Mexico border.
Torolab is an artist collective, workshop, and laboratory founded by architect and artist Raúl Cárdenas-Osuna based on the principles of molecular urbanism to describe their community-focused, locally activated, research-based art practice. Torolab's initiatives and projects respond to policies and poetics that range from social phenomena to urban spaces and artistic languages. Their main interest lies in proposition and not in protest, while striving to establish relationships between people, ideas, and equipment for life.
