Discuss and Sketch Your Interpretation

This activity is designed to help you dive deep into the storytelling, themes, and design elements of an animation. By analyzing and reflecting on the animation, you’ll gain insights into its meaning and explore how it connects to real-world issues, personal experiences, or universal themes. You’ll also have the opportunity to reimagine the story and create your own version through storyboarding and alternative endings.

Learning Outcomes

• Analyze themes, design, and symbolism to uncover the animation’s message and real-world connections.
• Enhance the sketching skills by reimagining the story through storyboards.
• Discuss insights and perspectives gained from the animation.

About the Animation Jam:

Animation Jam is a student-led 48-hour film event at ArtCenter College of Design.
