Managing Partner, Hitter Family LP and CEO, Hitter Family Foundation
In 1969 after graduating from the ArtCenter College of Design in Los Angeles, Hitter began his career as a Magazine Art Director at Petersen Publishing.
In 1970, he moved to advertising, first as an Art Director and then as a Creative Director. Clients included Rossmore Leisure World, Armor All, Hobie Catamarans, Husquvarna Motorcycles and John Cassavetes’ film “A Woman Under The Influence.”
Hitter started his own advertising/design firm in 1976. Clients included the Los Angeles Rams; Carroll Shelby’s Original Texas Brand Chili; Chatham Created Gems; Oroamerica; Cole of California; Pepi Fine Jewelry; the Gucci, Theodore and Lanvin Boutiques on Rodeo Drive; and Gucci Timepieces.
During the early 80’s Hitter conceived and, with Carroll Shelby, built the prototype AC Shelby Chrysler Sidewinder.
In 1985, Hitter joined Gucci Timepieces as Advertising Director, and was appointed Chief Marketing Officer in 1988. Three years later, Hitter and his family moved to Switzerland when he became President of Gucci Timepieces.
Since 2001, Hitter is the managing partner of the Hitter Family LP as well as CEO of the Hitter Family Foundation.
Hitter served as Chairman the Board of Governors at Cedars Sinai Medical Center 2012-2013 and is currently on the Leadership Cabinet. He is on the Global Board of Bar-Ilan University in Israel, Vice President and member of the Executive Committee of Sheba Medical Center in Israel and a Trustee of ArtCenter College of Design.
