Bruce Heavin BFA 93

Bruce Heavin is an artist, entrepreneur, and educational innovator. He is the co-founder, with his wife and co-founder Lynda Weinman, of Lynda.com, where he served as Chief Creative Officer.

He was instrumental in developing the company's early business model, creating a framework that made high-quality education affordable for learners while remaining financially sustainable for instructors. This enabled Lynda.com to scale into an international, multilingual platform before its acquisition by LinkedIn in 2015.

Heavin designed the visual identity of Lynda.com, including its logo. Heavin holds a BFA in Illustration from ArtCenter College of Design (Pasadena, CA; 1993), and his career spans illustration, photography, plus motion graphics. He currently focuses his time on supporting artists and designers, advancing initiatives that expand access to education while fostering innovation in art and design.
