The San Marino League—a philanthropic organization whose members raise funds for Fine Art scholarships and serve as volunteer docents for ArtCenter—presents Art Matters, the organization's fifth juried exhibition and sale of paintings and photography. Proceeds from the sale will be divided equally between ArtCenter and The Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens.
Art Matters attracts some of the country’s best artists. The exhibition and sale take place at The Huntington on May 4-6, with a private, invitation-only opening reception held on the evening of Friday, May 4.
To submit your artwork for exhibition, visit onlinejuriedshows.com. The submission deadline is March 8, 2018. Artists receive 50% of the commissioned artwork. Cash awards include Best in Show, New Artist (a first-time participant in the Art Matters exhibition), and Best Depiction of an Iconic Local Landscape or Structure. All accepted artists are also given the opportunity to paint for three days in the magnificent gardens at The Huntington leading up to the event.
