Three brave explorers who took chances, trusted themselves, convinced others to trust them, and changed the modern world.

Story is a truly unique human being. His ingenuity and stamina dazzled the world when he commanded the mission to repair the Hubble Space Telescope in orbit high above the earth. He continued to fly in space in his 60s. A lifelong student, he has earned seven graduate degrees in all, including mathematics and statistics, operations analysis and computer programming, chemistry, surgery, physiology and biophysics, literature and psychology. His interests include poetry, chess, gardening, photography, running, scuba diving, flying and soaring in gliders. Today he is a producer/director of multimedia, landscape architect, heavy equipment operator, innovator with Applied Minds Inc., and, occasionally, a design professor at ArtCenter.
