In what ways has Art Center helped you grow as an artist/designer?
Weekly one-on-one meetings with faculty and intense critique classes keep me on my toes and have been the most challenging and useful tool for my overall growth as an artist.  The constant feedback and questions thrown from all directions open up discussion and generate new ways of thinking about the work.

What are some of the most unexpected/interesting aspects to your experience at Art Center outside the classroom?
It’s exciting and inspiring to be surrounded by talented, ambitious, motivated and hard working young people. The productive energy pumping throughout the campus is infectious and encouraging.

What resources at Art Center have been most valuable to your growth as an artist/designer?
Lectures by professional artists, writers, historians, critics are very interesting and special.  The speakers are always very generous with their time and information. Field trips to Art Museums in and around Los Angeles with private tours guided by the exhibits curators or guest artists are extremely cool.

What do you do with your downtime in Pasadena and Greater LA?
There’s so much to do and discover in Los Angeles. I love exploring the diverse neighborhoods, delicious cuisines and of course the beaches, art galleries and museums.

How/Why did you choose Art Center?
I chose Art Center because I wanted to work with specific faculty members. I also admire some of the program’s Alumni. I was drawn to program’s rigor, professionalism as well as the high faculty to student ratio.

Have you taken part in any student orgs or campus activities at Art Center?
The student body government puts on really nice graduate mixers. It’s a fun opportunity to meet students and make friends from different departments.
