My goal was to work as a concept designer in the movie industry. And since the industry is filled with Art Center graduates and faculty, it was an easy choice.

Did Art Center offer anything that other places did not?
The Entertainment Design program here is one-of-a-kind. It prepares a student to design for movies (live action and animation), video games and theme park design. The program is very versatile, and prepares the student well to work in the industry after graduation.

The importance of networking, which is vital in order to survive in the industry.

Where do you find inspiration?
My biggest source of inspiration is my Indian culturethe different dance forms, the costumes, the temple architecture and the jewelry.

Neville Pagehe has been my mentor and friend since I met him during my first term. His design process has always inspired me. He has guided me many times, and he has worked for some of my favorite movies.

How would you describe Art Center to a prospective student?
I think that life can be hard while at Art Center. One has to sacrifice a lot, but you also gain a lot of knowledge in the process. A student has to be really passionate about what he or she wants to do if they choose Art Center. It is this passion that will keep a student going during the difficult times.
