Where to Give

What’s your passion? Easing a student’s financial burden so she can complete her degree? Encouraging young designers to confront social issues? There are as many ways to touch lives at Art Center as there are interests. Connect with your passion. We can help.

Annual Gifts to Art Center

Annual Gifts to Art Center provide essential support for the College’s most immediate needs and initiatives. As a small, non-profit institution, Art Center relies on your generosity to maintain a tradition of excellence in preparing today’s students to become tomorrow's leaders in art and design.

You can direct your annul gift in one of three ways:

  • Areas of Greatest Need. Unrestricted contributions provide flexible support for the College’s core needs and can touch every aspect of the student experience, from campus life to faculty support to technology to facilities.
  • Annual Scholarships. Annual Scholarships ensure that more of the very best students can have access to an Art Center education, regardless of personal financial circumstances.
  • The Program or Department of your choice. Many Art Center alumni and parents choose to direct their gifts to the program from which they or their student received their degree. Friends and neighbors often choose to support Designmatters, the College’s social impact program, or our Public Programs, including Art Center for Kids, Saturday High, Art Center at Night and the Summer Institute for Teachers. The choice is yours.

Art Center Leaders

Philanthropic support of art and design education is a noble tradition—one that grows in importance with every passing year.

Art Center Leaders are the College’s most generous annual supporters—those who contribute $5,000 or more on an annual basis. Art Center Leaders share a commitment to empowering extraordinary talent and sustaining exceptional art and design education. Together, they are helping to shape a powerful future for Art Center students.

Recognition in Art Center Leaders is open to all individuals and organizations who choose to give at the following leadership annual gift levels:

  • $5,000
  • $15,000
  • $25,000
  • $50,000 and above

While an investment in the College’s future offers its own rewards, Art Center is pleased to acknowledge the special relationship that Art Center Leaders have with the College with recognition in Art Center’s Honor Roll of Donors. Art Center Leaders also receive personalized assistance with questions and requests, such as on-campus parking, personalized tours of campus (upon request), and invitations to College events.

Affiliate Groups

Art Center is grateful for the generous philanthropic support and advocacy efforts of its affiliate groups:

Art Center 100, founded by trustee Alyce de Roulet Williamson in 1986, provides generous annual support of undergraduate scholarships for students who may otherwise be unable to afford an education at Art Center.

Art Center Partners helps provide broad access to art and design education by supporting scholarships for deserving students of all ages and backgrounds to the College’s Public Programs [link to Public Programs page], such as Art Center at Night (for adults), Saturday High (grades 9-12), Art Center for Kids (grades 4-8), and Summer Institute for Teachers. For many students, Public Program courses serve as a bridge to Art Center’s degree programs.

Pasadena Art Alliance members, longtime supporters of student scholarships at Art Center, are dedicated to advancing contemporary visual art in Southern California. An independent organization, the Pasadena Art Alliance has a remarkable history of championing new artistic expressions and projects that might not be funded by traditional methods.

The San Marino League members, supporters of Art Center for nearly four decades, are committed to philanthropic work in the community as well as furthering their own knowledge of fine arts. Members contribute generously to the San Marino League Fine Art Scholarship fund and are valued on-campus volunteers, supporting the student experience.

Williamson Gallery Patrons provide annual operating support for The Alyce de Roulet Williamson Gallery at Art Center, which produces three major exhibitions a year. The Gallery is open year-round to the community.
