Do you have stocks and bonds that have been held long-term (more than 18 months) and have increased in value? Consider donating them to Art Center. In most cases, you will receive two benefits:

• A deduction based on the full fair market value of the asset (up to 30 percent of your adjusted gross value)
• Avoidance of capital gains tax

If your assets have decreased in value, sell them and donate the proceeds to Art Center, taking a charitable deduction. The loss can be used to offset other gains.
