After you have been admitted to Art Center, the Financial Aid Office will prepare and send you an award letter specifying the award types and amounts for which you are eligible.

The College will receive FAFSA information electronically if you listed our code on your FAFSA.

Some students will be asked to provide documents to verify information provided on the FAFSA form.

Your Student Aid Report will advise you if you have been selected, and Art Center will request federal tax forms or other documentation as required.

Information submitted to FAFSA goes through a number of data matches at the federal processing center for such things as Social Security number, citizenship/eligible noncitizen status and, for males, Selective Service compliance.

Please be sure to read and follow the directions on your Student Aid Report.

Financial aid is credited toward your tuition bill when you have completed the school registration process. Financial aid awarded to you is disbursed by semester.

• Funds will be credited directly to each term’s tuition costs. Financial aid funds will be refunded to you only when your financial aid received is greater than your tuition costs. The initial refunds for the term are mailed after the first week of classes. Please make sure you have sufficient funds when you arrive on campus to pay your costs for the first week.
• Students receiving a federal Direct Loan or a Grad PLUS Loan for the first time must attend a mandatory loan entrance interview. (First-term students are required to attend a group session at orientation prior to receiving their first funds.)
• Work-study earnings are paid biweekly for hours worked during the prior two-week period. Unearned work-study allocations will be forfeited.

All information you submit to our office is confidential and will not be released to any other party without your written permission or as allowed by law.

We cannot routinely share information with your parents, spouse, siblings or others without your written authorization.
