Assistant Professor of Humanities and Sciences

Prior to working at ArtCenter, Dr. Zúñiga was Assistant Director of the Center for Equity for English Learners at Loyola Marymount University. He has taught graduate-level courses and consulted in the area of second-language acquisition and culturally diverse pedagogy both domestically and internationally. He earned his doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California. His dissertation research was a qualitative study of the knowledge, motivation and organizational influences on the goal attainment of instructional coaches for teachers of ELLs. His current research interests include organizational change and systems theory, English-language acquisition and professional development for faculty to support ELLs.
