Marta Nowak

Graduate Trans Design


Marta Nowak is a founding principal of AN.ONYMOUS, a transdisciplinary design firm based in Los Angeles. Her work explores the role of architecture and design at the intersection of technology, mobility and the human body. Her office has done work for NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, Hummer Museum and many others. 

Prior to establishing her own practice, Nowak worked for multiple architecture offices including Safdie Architects in Cambridge, Toshiko Mori Architects in New York, and Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill (SOM) in New York. She also worked as an editorial assistant at Harvard Design Magazine and was a Fellow at the United Nations Human Settlement Programme (UN-Habitat) where she worked on the Cities and Climate Change Initiative. Nowak has presented her work at numerous conferences and symposia including World Economic Forum, Amazon Radical Transportation Salon, Aerial Futures and Automobility. 

Marta holds Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art from the College of St. Catherine, and Master of Architecture (MArch I) from Harvard University, Graduate School of Design.
