Biography

Dominick Domingo graduated with distinction from Art Center’s Illustration department in December of ’91, having interned at Disney Animation during his studies. This experience led to a twelve year run at Disney, where he worked in both L.A. and Paris as a Visual Development artist and background painter on Lion King, Pocahontas, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tarzan, Little Match Girl, and One By One. Concurrently, he freelanced as a book illustrator for clients like Pacific Design Center, Penguin, Putnam, Random House and Lowell House. In the 20 years since leaving Disney, Dominick has continued doing visual development on both traditional and CG features, in TV animation and gaming. Clients include Blue Sky (Epic, Ice Age: Continental Drift,) Animation Lab, Israel (The Wild Bunch,) Prana (Angry Birds,) Mirada (Monster High,) Nickelodeon (Catscratch, Shimmer and Shine) Disney Publishing (Pixie Hollow Secret of Wings, Up, Toy Story,) Disney Interactive (Princess Dressup, Fashion Boutique,) and Dreamworks TV, among others. Dominick’s award-winning live action films and critically acclaimed publications in the literary realm lend him the unique edge of fully understanding the nuances of each narrative genre and format, as well as that of overall intellectual property development and content creation, something that largely informs his approach to teaching Entertainment.
