Biography

Robert Pastrana spent his childhood in the United States, Puerto Rico and Mexico. He's been a freelance illustrator since graduating with distinction from ArtCenter College of Design in 1992. His book, Simplifying Perspective, was published in 2015 by Focal Press. An ArtCenter instructor since 1992, Pastrana has emphasizes personal voice through the the creative process; especially as it relates to concept, composition and color. Pastrana has recieved awards including recognition from Communication Arts, Print, Graphis, American Illustration, The Society of Publication Designers, Illustrators Only among others.
