ART CENTER CAR CLASSIC ’09

Join top automotive designers, collectors and enthusiasts at Car Classic ’09 as Art Center once again celebrates vehicles that push the boundaries of design. This year, to reflect the broadening focus of Art Center’s Transportation Design Department, we move beyond the automobile to showcase the best in all types of transportation. The event will focus on the historic relationship between aircraft and watercraft design and the automobile industry.

HIGHLIGHTS

100 rare and exotic vehicles, including classics, sports cars, hot rods and customs, motorcycles, aircraft, watercraft and more.

Presentations by distinguished transportation professionals and enthusiasts, including a keynote by Burt Rutan, the pioneering designer of the legendary Voyager and the XPRIZE-winning SpaceShipOne.

Tours of design studios and galleries.

Tickets to Car Classic ’09 are $60 at the door or $50 online. Alumni save $20 online.

Exhibitor Application Forms are now available for the Art Center Car Classic '09, "By Air, Land and Sea." We are looking for the finest examples of automotive, aircraft and watercraft design. Special consideration will be given to automobiles that demonstrate influence to or from aircraft or watercraft in their design.

The deadline for application is Friday, May 1st, and all decisions by the Car Classic Selection Committee will be made by May 15th. Even if you have already emailed photographs of a vehicle for consideration, please complete the attached form and resubmit the photographs.
