Biography

Sami Siegelbaum is a historian of Modern and Contemporary art. He received his PhD in Visual Studies from the University of California, Irvine in 2011. His research focuses on the intersections between art, labor and politics since the 1960s. In addition to courses in Modern and Contemporary art, Siegelbaum has taught courses on the Histories of Photography, Modern Architecture, and Film, and other topics at UC-Irvine, UCLA, Occidental College, Loyola Marymount University, and DePaul University. He has taught Intro to Modernism at ArtCenter since 2016.
