About ACX Teens

about_acx_teens_07

ACX Teens is where high school students in grades 9–12* can find a world of opportunities. If you are looking to explore an artistic skill you’ve always wanted to try (like filmmaking, video game development or fashion design), want to hang out with friends in a fun “let’s make it” environment, or thinking about a possible career in art and design, it’s all here.

ACX Teens offers more than 65 art and design courses to help you flex and find your creative voice. Most classes meet Saturdays for 10-week terms in fall, spring and summer. Additionally, ACX Teens offers one-and two-week Summer Workshops and four-week Summer Intensives. ACX Teens is a noncredit program but grades are awarded.

about_acx_03

Classes are taught by practicing artists and designers who share their personal stories and professional experiences. You’ll hear real-life challenges and the rewards of a career in the creative fields. Best of all, you’ll discover how a creative community uses art and design to inspire, challenge and uplift—both yourself and the world around you.

Note: There are no admission requirements to enroll in ACX Teens, however, a portfolio submission is required to waive a prerequisite or to apply for a scholarship.

*Students who have completed 8th grade and will be entering 9th during the subsequent fall may sign up for ACX Teens’ summer term. Students who have recently graduated may enroll for the summer term immediately following graduation.

International Students

ACX Teens welcomes international students, however, our program cannot issue student visas. International students should also be aware they are responsible for their own accommodations since that there is no on-campus housing.
