Christine Atkinson received her undergraduate degree from the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara and her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2013. Atkinson was born and raised in Northern California. Her works have been included in various shows across the United States including The Aviary Gallery in Boston, SOIL in Seattle, Monte Vista Projects in Los Angeles, Focus Photo LA curated by Charlotte Cotton, Nicholas Fahey and Wendy Posner and will be featured in the upcoming fall edition of Vellum. She lives and works in Los Angeles.

Craig Attebery is a native southern Californian. He Graduated from ArtCenter in 1980, receiving a BFA with Honors. He then completed his MFA studies at Otis/Parsons Art Institute in 1984. Craig is the author of The Complete Guide to Perspective Drawing: From One- to Six-Point. He has worked as a freelance illustrator for advertising agencies, science books, and the entertainment industry, as well as creating conceptual art for JPL/NASA and the aerospace industry. Craig’s illustrations have appeared in many publications including Newsweek and Time magazine. In addition to his commercial work, he has participated in exhibitions at galleries and museums throughout the country and internationally, including the Fry Museum (Seattle, WA), the Arnot Museum (Elmira, NY), the Art Museum of South Texas (Corpus Christi, TX), the Oceanside Museum (Oceanside, CA) and the il Palazzo della Provincia di Frosinone (Italy). Craig’s work is in the permanent collection of the de Young Museum (San Francisco, CA).
Christina Aumann combines language with typography through antique letterpress printing technologies. She delights in merging analog processes with contemporary design. She views the metal and wood letterforms she works with as miniature sculptures with battle scars from the years they have lived through. These imperfections reveal themselves in the prints, adding a human quality her artwork.
Aumann received a BA in Studio Arts from University of California, Santa Barbara. Her work has been exhibited at venues including Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, Brewery Project, Artworks/Bookarts. She is the recipient of a 2017 Hoffmitz Milken Center for Typography Educators Grant.

Adele Bass has been a respected professor at ArtCenter College of Design for the last 25 years while maintaining a successful Communication Design company. She joined the faculty at ArtCenter in 1990 specializing in Typography. In 2001, Ms. Bass earned an MFA in Media design and has added website development to her diverse business offerings.She was recently featured in an internet article by The Art Career Project, naming 15 Noteworthy Art professors in Los Angeles.
Ms. Bass studied psychology at the State University of New York at Binghamton. She worked in a Manhattan Advertising agency and completed an Executive Training program in Boston before deciding to pursue a career in Design. She opened AB&Co.Design in 1981 and designs award-winning work for clients such as the Los Angeles Zoo and the City of Pasadena among others.

Bren is an environmental designer with a background in spatial and experience design. She started her creative endeavors by studying Environmental Design at ArtCenter College of Design.
Since graduating, she has created fun, fresh, and whimsical spaces for brands including Vans, Production Club, Amazon, and many more. she approaches each project with optimism, lightheartedness, and an open mind.
Carly Chubak was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She has degrees in Physics & Astrophysics (with Honors) from UC Berkeley and spent several years as a test engineer in the optics industry, analyzing distortion in space-borne telescopes. Chubak next studied Fine Art at ArtCenter, focusing on soft sculptures and textile/fiber installations and graduating as valedictorian. Her experience in science and academia continues to inform her art practice; she focuses on research-based work, an interest in labor, and a feminist perspective. Chubak’s works are heavily analytical, emphasizing the historical and cultural meanings of materials and processes alongside more formal and conceptual concerns.
Mark D Clarke is a design professional and educator with extensive international work experience in automotive, transportation and product design. Mark has held design management positions at Chrysler, BMW, Porsche and Fisker Automotive.
Rob Clayton graduated from ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena with honors. Rob is currently working on a new body of work exploring the ideas of self process creating environmental sculptural and painting content. Utilizing skills learned over the past 25 years of teaching, Rob has recently started to explore unconventional means of fabrication generated in a true DIY spirit. The focus of his new body of work is pushing the ideas and concepts of narrative and/or illustrative content.
Rob currently serves as a full-time faculty member at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena.
J.C. comes from an engineering and robotics background, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After eight years in robotics, he began working in multiple areas of the field of visual effects. For the last 14 years, he's been teaching a wide range of software, works with producers, developers, and artists, and assists in pipeline development and support. He is currently the Director of Training at Dreamworks Animation.
Gayle Donahue is a Los Angeles-based illustrator and fine artist. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in design ultimately working as a free-lance illustrator in advertising and merchandising. Her clients include the Beverly Hills Hotel, Walt Disney Studios, Walt Disney Consumer Products, and Cedars Sanai Medical Center. Her paintings and collages have been featured in numerous exhibitions. The work is represented by J. Cacciola of New York, Thomas Paul Fine Art in Los Angeles, and CK Contemporary in San Francisco. She has taught classes at UCLA Extension and Otis College of Art andDesign, as well as conducting seminars on mixed media and creativity. Donahue is an Associate Professor in the Illustration Department and has taught drawing classes at ArtCenter since 1990.
Jesse Ellico believes that you have to have fun in your career and he works hard to bring fun and accomplishment to the workplace whether it is the office, airplane hangar or the classroom. Ellico has done many cool things like working on the B2 bomber, teaching at ArtCenter and Otis, racing motorcycles in the Baja 1000 and flying around in airplanes and blowing things up. Airplanes and engineering are his passion. As a mechanical engineer, he loves to take things apart and then putting them back together again. He believes that getting an idea on paper is the first step and from there the magic happens. Whether made by hand or a 3D printer, building a model is an essential part of the narrative of explaining a creation. Ellico believes that it all comes down to the satisfaction of finishing a project and saying, "Hey! I made that!"
Joel Garcia (Huichol) is an Indigenous artist and cultural organizer that uses Indigenous-based frameworks to center those most impacted, and arts-based strategies such as printmaking, installations, creative action, and altar-making to raise awareness of issues facing underserved communities, youth, and other targeted populations. In various roles, he has worked with Indigenous communities across borders in support of issues of land, access, and self-determination. His work explores healing and reconciliation, as well as memory and place. He previously served as Co-Director at Self Help Graphics & Art (‘10-’18) and is the co-founder of Meztli Projects, an Indigenous-based arts and culture collaborative centering indigeneity into the creative practice of Los Angeles.
He’s a former fellow of Goethe-Instut, Monument Lab, and the Intercultural Leadership Institute as well as artist-in-residence at Oxy Arts and AIR (Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator).
Stella has been teaching in the Environmental Design and ACX departments since 2014 and has led Designmatters studios, creating and implementing social design award-winning projects. Her “Safe Agua” system for communities in Latin America is part of the permanent collection at the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum. She received her first BS in Industrial Design and worked for several companies in the furniture and hospitality design fields in South America.
After moving to California and graduating with honors in Environmental Design at ArtCenter College of Design, she worked for prominent interior design firms, contributing to many high-profile residential projects, from interior architecture design to furniture, lighting, and finishing details. Later she established her own studio, and her designs have been featured in leading interior design markets. She also collaborates with other design studios, developing branded commercial spaces for companies with strong presence in Latin America.
Joshua Holzmann, a native of Milwaukee, is an artist living and working in Los Angeles, California. His primary mediums are paint and collage. His art practice employs paint as content and the complicated history that is tied to the medium through the lens of an African American male. As a conscientious millennial the artist struggles with putting more objects into the world. To mitigate these concerns Holzmann uses repurposed materials and items from his family's daily consumption as the raw materials for his paintings.
Holzmann holds a BFA from ArtCenter and an MFA from the University of California, Riverside. He has exhibited at the Riverside Art Museum, Harriet and Kern Gallery, Nan Rae Gallery at Woodbury University, Barbara and Art Culver Center for the Arts, Phyllis Gill Gallery at the University of California Riverside, ArtCenter DTLA and The Honolulu Museum of Art.
Holzmann is an assistant professor of Art at ArtCenter College of Design.
Dana Hursey is an award-winning commercial advertising and fine art photographer. With over 30 years of producing major campaigns for companies such as Lowe's Home Improvements, Disney, Volkswagen, Four Seasons and UnitedHealthcare, Dana is a leader in the commercial photography industry. Dana received his BFA in Photography from ArtCenter.
His numerous awards include both his commercial as well as fine artwork, and he has been featured in several one-man exhibitions both in the U.S. and abroad. Dana has been named one of the 200 Best Ad Photographers Worldwide by Lürzer's Archive Magazine. He also received great acclaim for his 14 Days in Great Britain Documentary Series as well as his visuals in the "Cart for a Cause" Cookbook, sponsored by Lexus, featuring 35 of L.A.'s top chefs, and their recipes, with 100% of proceeds going to the St. Vincent Meals on Wheels Program.
Dana currently serves as National President of American Photographic Artists.
A lifelong design educator, Stan has inspired and influenced generations of students to pursue their design educations that have become leaders in companies globally. Stan was GradID faculty director, member of the faculty and teaches in ArtCenter’s Public Programs. He was formerly head of Product Design at Pasadena City College and a professor for the Institute for Educational Advancement. A founding Co-Chair of the alumni scholarship fundraising group, Legacy Circle, he also served on the Board of Directors for the Armory Center for the Arts, the Pasadena Arts and Culture Commission, and the Rowe & Gayle Giesen Board of Trustees. Stan’s many honors include ArtCenter’s "Outstanding Service Alumni Award," the NAACP Ruby McKnight Williams Arts Award, the Institute of Education Service Award, the Risser “Outstanding Teacher of the Year” Award, and the Los Angeles Cherry Blossom Festival “Teachers Making a Difference” Award. Stan has a B.S. in Product Design from ArtCenter (83-02).
Born and raised in Southern California, Llanos graduated from ArtCenter’s Illustration program with honors in 2003. His most recent commission came from Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority where he designed 24 mosaic panels for the Western/Expo station in Los Angeles and designed posters for MTA’s “Through the Artists Eyes” celebrating the Van Nuys in 2005. In addition to doing commissioned works, Llanos has taught figure drawing/painting, head drawing, and character and costume design courses. He’s worked with a wide variety of students ranging from Woodbury University, Brentwood Art Center and ArtCenter. Llanos has exhibited in many galleries throughout Southern California since 2003. His most recent solo exhibition entitled “Snapshots”, at Avenue 50 Studio Gallery, was themed around on-location illustrations he did inspired by the urban landscapes and it’s denizens. In the early 2000s, Llanos also did some illustrations for independent newspapers and magazines.
Todd Masilko is a graduate of ArtCenter’s Product Design department. He has taught at ArtCenter since 2004 and in the school’s Interaction Design Department since its inception in 2012.
Masilko has taught a range of ArtCenter studio classes in the Interaction Design program, as well as Designmatters, the Immersion Lab, ArtCenter Exchange and Study Away (INSEAD MBA partnership and ArtCenter Berlin) and studio classes and workshops sponsored by industry partners including ADP, Amazon, Dell, DiDi Chuxing, Microsoft, NIO, Google, Honda, Koenig & Bauer, Under Armour, Volvo Construction Equipment, Aquarium of the Pacific and the Sundance Film Festival. He has also worked on grant-driven projects in accessibility and high school education.
Outside of ArtCenter, his professional experience includes working as director of creative at DisneyMobile, user experience design consulting at Walt Disney Imagineering R&D, and multiple early-stage technology start-up companies.
Professor Heidrun Mumper-Drumm teaches, conducts research and is director of Sustainability Initiatives at ArtCenter College of Design. Her academic classes and studio courses prepare and challenge designers to create sustainable product service systems that improve environmental performance, while also considering social and economic impact. Her research interests include methods and practices that incorporate life cycle thinking and lead to design innovation.
She was an environmental engineer with Bechtel and Parsons Engineering, where she worked on nuclear and wind energy projects, and managed environmental and cultural compliance for NASA/US Air Force construction projects. Moving from engineering to design, she founded a graphic design and letterpress company and became a faculty member at ArtCenter. She teaches, participates in and holds leadership positions in national and international design organizations, and consults and leads workshops for companies on the integration of sustainability into design practices. She recently completed a masters in sustainability and environmental management at Harvard University.
Eric Ng is an educator and concept designer. As a part of the inaugural Entertainment Design class at ArtCenter, he has returned and continued to teach students since 2008. Eric has been a designer for Walt Disney Imagineering R&D and Interactive as well as Sony Online Entertainment and Mattel. He pursues photography as well and has his work featured by Mercedes Benz, MTV and Kotaku. Eric is currently creating captivating images that featuring unique lifestyles as seen in his book, Project: Bazooka.

Johnny Ngo is a first generation Chinese American screenwriter. As the only son of two refugees, he gravitates to stories dealing with second chances and acceptance. Ngo began his career working for international production house Vendome Pictures where he acquired four years of development experience in television and features before writing Conversion, a feature about conversion therapy camps from the perspective of an ex-attendee turned counselor. It landed him an opportunity to work with legendary producer Chris Lee (Philadelphia, Jerry Maguire). His latest work, Hold Still, Vincent, tells the life of Vincent Chin and how his untimely death sparked an Asian American civil rights movement never before seen in American history. It featured and was produced by Gemma Chan as a limited podcast series for QCode. Ngo hails from the San Gabriel Valley where he lives with his wife, twin boys and baby girl, whom he all loves equally.
Justine Limpus Parish has worked extensively in the Los Angeles and San Francisco fashion industries as a fashion illustrator, designer, educator, art director and published author. As an associate professor and the director of the Sewing Lab at ArtCenter College of Design, she teaches in the Product Design and Entertainment Design departments. She also teaches workshops for Disney Consumer Products and other industry studios. She created the fashion department at the Academy of Art University and served as art director for Liberty House of California. She holds a BFA in painting and drawing and has been a designer of her own signature collection of special occasion fashion. She is the author/illustrator of her own E-Book series Drawing Fashion available on lulu.com, and writes illustrated articles for magazines such as Belle Armoire Magazine. Her designs and illustrations have appeared in “Artwear: Fashion & Anti-Fashion,” “Fabric Artistry” by Singer, “Color with Style” by Donna Fujii, and she was curator of “Opulent Splendor” artwear exhibition at Brand Library Art Gallery in 2005. She is a member of The Costume Society of America, and past president of the Wearable Art Connection of Southern California.
Robert Pastrana spent his childhood in the United States, Puerto Rico and Mexico. He's been a freelance illustrator since graduating with distinction from ArtCenter College of Design in 1992. His book, Simplifying Perspective, was published in 2015 by Focal Press. An ArtCenter instructor since 1992, Pastrana has emphasizes personal voice through the the creative process; especially as it relates to concept, composition and color. Pastrana has recieved awards including recognition from Communication Arts, Print, Graphis, American Illustration, The Society of Publication Designers, Illustrators Only among others.
A native of Cali, Colombia, Leon Paz's interest in car design was sparked when he first saw a Ferrari 308 GTO at the impressionable age of 8.
He graduated from ArtCenter in 2008 with a degree in Transportation Design and has since worked for companies such as Hyundai's Design and Technical Center, Kia Motors America, Honda Research & Development Americas, and the independent development firm Technicon Design.
Paz has taught "Viscom" Fundamentals (Visual Communication) for both ArtCenter's degree program and extension program. He is also an inaugural instructor for ArtCenter Online, the College's foray into online education for remote learners.
Steven Saitzyk is an Adjunct Professor of Humanities and Sciences at ArtCenter College of Design, a painter, art materials consultant, and former biochemist. He has taught about the properties of artist materials and their best practices since 1991. He is the author of Art Hardware: The Definitive Guide to Artists' Materials, and a member: International Art Materials Trade Association (NAMTA), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA). Since 1996 he has been International Director of Shambhala Art, shambhalaart.org, a nonprofit arts education program designed to integrate meditation into the creative process. He has practiced and taught meditation internationally since 1976 and is mentor to more than one hundred Shambhala Art teachers around the world. He is also author of Place Your Thoughts Here: Meditation for the Creative Mind.
Julian Scaff is an associate professor of Interaction Design at ArtCenter College of Design. Scaff's areas of expertise include interaction design, design research, HCI and futurecasting. Scaff also runs a one-person design consultancy with a client list that includes Hitachi, Fidelity, Walmart, and Spatial Labs. During the course of his career, Scaff has worked for NASA/JPL, Idealab, and Siegel+Gale, and has taught at several universities in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Scaff is particularly interested in the interaction design of mobility and aerospace systems, the convergence of XR and IoT, and design for social/environmental impact. In 2015, Scaff delivered a talk titled Designing Change for Good at TEDx Crenshaw in Los Angeles.
Siladityaa Sharma is a highly talented product designer at Meta's Reality Labs, renowned for his instrumental contributions to the development of Ray-Ban Stories Smart Glasses and the launch of Spotify Tap on Smart Glasses. In addition to his design work, Siladityaa is also a valued faculty member of the Interaction Design program at ArtCenter College of Design. He has a B.S. in Interaction Design and a Business minor, graduating with honors. Siladityaa's prior experience as a product design intern at Meta Reality Labs working on an augmented reality glasses-based project showcases his versatility and adaptability as a designer. Siladityaa has garnered numerous awards and accolades for his design work, including the MUSE Design Award 2020: Gold Award in Conceptual Design–Interaction. Siladityaa is committed to mentoring and inspiring the next generation of designers at ArtCenter College of Design.

Arts Educator
She has served as a part-time faculty member in the Communication Arts department at Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles for over 13 years. Courses she has taught in the past include Basic Design Fundamentals, Typography, Production Technologies and Professional Practice for Graphic Designers. Debra Valencia is currently teaching private seminars on the Business of Art Licensing and is an occasional guest lecturer at colleges and design conferences. In Spring 2013, Debra launched a new 10-week Business of Art Licensing course at Otis College of Art + Design in Los Angeles as part of the Continuing Education program and is repeating the same course every Spring semester. She is also teaching Digital Surface Design at Art Center of College of Design at Night Program in Pasadena every Spring semester.
Debra has selected, supervised, trained and mentored over 50 student interns from Otis College of Art & Design, California State University/Long Beach, Rhode Island School of Design, University of the Arts/Philadelphia, Santa Monica College, University of California/Los Angeles, Art Center and California Institute of the Arts. The students gained real world work experience and were better prepared to enter professional positions.
Well respected as a design educator, Debra has been invited to portfolio reviews for AIGA/LA, Otis Intern Program and National Portfolio Day. Debra has lectured at major institutions and conferences including Cal Poly Tech in San Luis Obispo, Harvard University, Fresh Dialogue program sponsored by the AIGA New York, Western Regional Conference of the Society of Environmental Graphic Designers (SEGD) and Art Director’s Clubs of both Los Angeles and Washington, DC. Jeannie Winston is a Los Angeles-based artist who brings more than thirty years of experience in illustration, children's books, infant bedding, and surface and textile art to her design process. After studying Fine Art at the University of California, Los Angeles, and General Education at the University of Southern California, she studied Illustration at ArtCenter, where she shifted focus to designing textiles. She has an ongoing collaboration with the interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard, who launched his inaugural textile line, and is currently working on his latest collection of textiles. Constantly curious about the world around her, Winston believes that harmony and balance have the ability to transform lives. Using this principle, Winston is currently creating a new line of rugs for Mehraban Rugs in Los Angeles.

Brice Wong BS, Industrial Design, ArtCenter College of Design, Pasadena, CA.
Brice is an experienced industrial designer specialized in transportation design in the Los Angeles area. His passion for design started at the age of six. Accompanying his parents, Brice went to an art show featuring graduating students' art works and concepts. He was so intrigued by all the design concepts that could one day change how people would live. The future looked so bright; all the lines, colors, and patterns took root in Brice's mind and he begin to draw and design his own inventions.
In 2002, Brice graduated from ArtCenter then went to intern at various car companies, including Peugeot in Paris, Ford in Detroit, and Honda in Torrance. Brice then settled in as a lead designer at Andus R&D Inc., a satellite design studio which designs cars for production in China. Later, Brice moved on to work as a consultant for various companies and projects including Sphere One Limited which works with Beijing Auto Works (BAW) designing concept cars for military-based companies in China; design concepts for Tesla Motors through Prime Wheels; and various projects through 5 Axis Design. He is now at Honda R&D Americas, Inc. in the Power Sports Division.
Brice's extensive experiences in industrial design in various markets made him a resource-rich teacher. He aspires to bridge real world experiences with experimental design in the classroom. Brice has taught for the ArtCenter at Night program since 2008.
Gee Yeung is CEO at RumbleBox with over 20 years of experience supervising/producing film and immersive content. Gee has a BFA in computer art and illustration. He started his career at BlueSky/VIFX learning on films including FaceOff, Blade, and Titanic. At Rhythm & Hues, he lead VFX work on Alvin and the Chipmunks, Superman Returns, and Mummy 3. Following that, he lead a visual development team at Dreamworks Animation on feature films BOO and Turbo afterward transitioning into virtual/augmented reality content development for the DreamLab VR team. From there, he was art director on the BluVR for WeVR and supervised Star Trek Beyond for Bad Robot. He also directed projects for Otoy Inc. Gee was VFX supervisor on Sign of Life and creative director for Griffith. Currently, he is creating, directing and producing content for Invisible Thread and RumbleBox.
Jini is a 3rd generation designer. Her earliest memories involve drawing and discussing design themes with her family. She graduated with honors from ArtCenter College of Design in Illustration and then began this incredible adventure in her design career.
She has a passion for inspiring and strategically leading teams of creatives to soar far beyond the realm of what they thought possible. She believes that teams that are well-fueled and empowered are able to create above and beyond their expectations. Over her 15 years in branding, packaging, product design, style guide creation and design leadership, she has learned that keeping herself inspired, remembering it is about the people, not the task and finding the learning in each project keeps her curious and highly engaged.
In Jini's 20-year design career, so far she has heald in-house creative leadership positions at LEGO, Airstream Inc, Disney, Mattel (Hot Wheels). LinkedIn
