“I was in a junk store, and saw a stack of photographs, and went through them. There was this photograph of an Indian head. He looked good. I bought it for $1.50, and used it for the Jefferson Airplane poster. I’ve embellished that image for years, and have done different variations. In 2018, Vans is doing a huge campaign for a shoe line with the image.”
