Returning to Campus

The health and safety of our community is our foremost concern, and ensuring that our campus environment is safe for occupancy by students, faculty and staff is our primary consideration and overarching guiding principle.

This is a comprehensive return to campus plan for all campus activities with a focus on providing a safe and secure environment for all.

Our decisions have been and will continue to be informed by global, national and local public health agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the State of California, L.A. County and the City of Pasadena, as well as the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA). The return to campus plan has also been informed by the findings of a hazardous risk assessment—conducted in consultation with a certified industrial hygienist and certified infection prevention specialist—focused on hazard mitigation strategies and infection control practices.

Please note: Beginning September 1, 2021, ArtCenter policy is requiring all persons who want to access our physical spaces to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster vaccines when eligible. Students, faculty and staff can submit proof of vaccination on Inside ArtCenter.

Individuals coming on campus for regular business purposes—vendors, models, actors, etc.—must submit proof of vaccination 48 hours before first arriving on campus. Production cast and crew participating in film productions, photo shoots and other live performances must also submit proof of a negative test obtained within 48 hours of accessing campus.

Guests coming to view an exhibition, tour the campus or attend an event must provide proof of vaccination at check-in. One time visitors who were vaccinated outside the country must submit proof of vaccination electronically 48 hours prior to arriving on campus.
