Alumnus Stewart Reed is chair of the Transportation Design Department at Art Center College of Design. Reed has a distinguished 35-year career in transportation design, working for Toyota, Chrysler, Prince Corporation and Meyers Manx, originators of the dune buggy. Reed created Stewart Reed Design in 1994 to consult to the manufacturing industry in both automotive and consumer products. He launched Mobility Outfitters in 1995, which culminated in the introduction of the Gear Box concept vehicle at the 1998 North American International Auto Show, (NAIAS). Reed graduated from Art Center in 1969.
