Michael Meyer is one of the country’s premier urban transportation planning experts. A civil and environmental engineering professor at Georgia Tech, Meyer has written extensively on transportation systems, planning and policy, including a book sponsored by the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the Federal Highway Administration.

Previously the chair of Georgia Tech’s civil and environmental engineering department, Meyer has also served as director of transportation planning and development for the state of Massachusetts, where he was responsible for planning, project development, traffic engineering and transportation research statewide.
