Katherine Gerwig has a simple solution for living green: Use less stuff. The head of Kaiser Permanente’s national workplace safety program, Gerwig works with labor, management and physicians to align and strengthen their efforts toward the goal of eliminating occupational injuries. Gerwig is responsible for integrating sustainability into all of Kaiser Permanente’s work for the purpose of reducing health risks associated with environmental factors. Before coming to Kaiser Permanente, she was an environmental and economic development consultant to businesses and public agencies in the United States and Europe.
