Study for a term at ArtCenter as an exchange student from one our partner institutions.

Incoming Exchange Students

You must be enrolled as a full-time student at one of our partner institutions in order to be considered as an exchange student. Additionally, you must be nominated by the International Exchange Office at your home university in order to apply for the exchange. Required in your application are the following: application form, portfolio, motivation letter, transcripts (translated to English), course interest list, and proof of English proficiency. You will complete your application in our online system. Instructions and a link to the application are available in the "How to Apply" section below. For more information on how to apply, please consult with your home school’s International Exchange Office.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications for exchange from students who do not attend one of our partner schools.

About ArtCenter

ArtCenter’s semester dates are as follows:

Fall: beginning of September to mid-December
Spring: beginning of January to mid-April
Summer: beginning of May to mid-August

Detailed ArtCenter Academic Calendar

A semester at ArtCenter lasts for 14 weeks, with a mandatory four-day New Student Orientation prior to the start of the term. The exchange program is for one term only.

Upon acceptance, additional detailed information on acquiring a student visa, mandatory ArtCenter student health insurance, housing, and more will be provided to you in your admission packet.
