Interactive Data Viz at Praxis
September 19, 2016
As part of PRAXIS Talks + Exhibition, hosted by the IMAP PhD program at USC School of Cinematic Arts, Hillary Mushkin and Maggie Hendrie presented recent work from the joint Caltech JPL and ArtCenter Interactive Data Visualization program. Along with designers from LATimes and JPL, the program and exhibition showcased new tools, data journalism, and interaction design based on big data. The annual data viz program gives ArtCenter students the opportunity to intern with multidisciplinary teams and other colleges and universities in a 10 week program to build such tools as Path Planning for Rover, UIs that monitor gravitational waves and look at DNA in 3D.
