Jenny Rodenhouse is a designer and researcher interested in examining emerging technologies and their cultural implications. Having lived in many locations throughout her life, the exploration of place plays an important role in Jenny’s work. Her research process includes site visits, interviews, and tours; an act of forming a research collection and project framework. Utilizing her background in industrial design, interaction design, and information architecture she translates research inquiry into design concept and form. Jenny employs her professional experience and personal practice to blend physical and digital media – places, interfaces, narratives, prototypes, and installed test sites; reflective of her areas of study and practice.
Jenny studied Industrial and Interaction Design at Syracuse University’s five year B.I.D. (Bachelor of Industrial Design) program before joining Microsoft in Seattle. She has worked as a designer and strategist for Windows Phone, Xbox, and Microsoft Research FUSE Labs. She lives in Los Angeles California and is a recent M.F.A. graduate from Art Center’s Media Design Practices 2-Year Lab track.More about Jenny at http://jennyrodenhouse.com/About
