Allison Bohl

Allison Bohl was born and raised in Bossier City, La. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts (Film and Video) from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette in 2006. Currently, Bohl is pursuing a freelance career in filmmaking, graphic design and photography. She recently brought home festival awards for her work on I Always Do My Collars First: A Film About Ironing, including the Louisiana Filmmaker Award 2007 (New Orleans Film Festival) and Special Jury Prize 2007 (Port Townsend Film Festival). She has just finished working as an Assistant Camera on the Spanish feature film, Macumba. As a 2007 Grant Recipient from the Division of the Arts, Bohl will begin production of a short documentary about Plate Lunch Houses in Lafayette, La.
