On Saturday, August 5, 1995 an opening reception was held for Digital Mediations, an exhibition of six interactive installations by an international group of artists, including Bill Seaman (Australia), Jim Campbell (San Francisco), Lynn Hershman (San Francisco), Sara Roberts (Los Angeles), Christa Sommerer and Laurent Mignonneau (Austria/France), and Jennifer Steinkamp (Los Angeles).
Co-curated by Williamson Gallery director Stephen Nowlin (Introduction and Acknowledgements) and Erkki Huhtamo (Essay).
The exhibition was concurrent with The Digital Dialectic: A Conference on the Convergence of Technology, Media & Theory, August 4 - 6, organized by Dr. Peter Lunenfeld, Art Center Graduate Faculty.
