ArtCenter DTLA

A satellite location in downtown Los Angeles, ArtCenter DTLA engages the local arts community through exhibitions, workshops and cultural programs.

ArtCenter DTLA serves as a platform and venue for collaborative engagement, partnering ArtCenter’s campus and Los Angeles communities through our programs, contributing to a culture that is diverse, inclusive and relevant. A part of the Exhibitions department. ArtCenter DTLA presents exhibitions and programs that are critically engaging from a transdisciplinary perspective. 

The 11,500 square-foot building includes a 3,500 square-foot gallery on the ground floor and a second 2,750 square-foot gallery on the mezzanine, as well as artist studios and administrative offices.

ArtCenter DTLA is easily accessible by public transportation and less than 40-minutes from South Campus on the Metro subway line. Convenient parking is also available in the adjacent garage. The parking entrance is located at 415 S. Main Street. Rates are $5 for the first 90 minutes with a $10 maximum charge.

The work investigates the history of parades as promotions of unrecognized communities and declarations of desired power. Using augmented reality and computer vision, the projects celebrate the seen/unseen activity and expressions of downtown Los Angeles.
