Join legendary comic art superstars HOWARD CHAYKIN and BILL SIENKIEWICZ for an evening of back-and-forth interviews and banter, potshots, politics, audience questions, comics, hilarity, and gristle.

Bill Sienkiewicz is best known for revolutionizing comic and graphic novel illustration, most notably with his boldly experimental Elektra: Assassin and his acclaimed, pioneering graphic novel Stray Toasters, which have earned him both cult status and international acclaim. Bill’s spectacular, innovative artwork has also graced titles such as Batman, The Sandman, New Mutants, Moon Night, and Black Widow.

Howard Chaykin’s fame skyrocketed with self-created titles such as American Flagg!, which redefined not only the action-adventure genre but the potential of the comics medium itself. His immense reputation is also based on his fearless, groundbreaking graphic treatments of sex and politics in his series such as Black Kiss and The Divided States of Hysteria. He’s also contributed his forceful visual flair to Batman, Blackhawk, Buck Rogers, The Shadow, and other mainstream characters. His latest solo project is Hey Kids! Comics!

This event is free and open to the public.

Presented by Michael Dooley’s “Design History of Comics & Animation” class.
